At the Top of Their Game: the Best Game Downloads

Atomsri Sukpo asked:

Playing a game is not just about winning or finishing the game. It is about the gaming experience that gamers feel. It’s the rush of the adrenaline coupled with the thrill and excitement that great games provide. So when ******** gamers want to quench their thirst for great games, they turn to the internet and download some of the best games available. But how do we know which site have the best game downloads?

One thing that we have to consider is the console or platform that we want to play that game with. The advent of Sony Playstation 3 or PS3 has opened the doors for console game downloads. Of course there are PC games and Playstation Portable (PSP) games that are always available on the net so choosing will not be difficult. One characteristic of the best game downloads sites is their wide array of games for multiple platforms. ******** gamers will surely have a PC, a PS3 and even a PSP and it would be inconvenient for them to jump from one gaming site to another in order to download the games they want to play for a specific console. Another thing to look for is the game categories/genre. A site with the best game downloads has a lot of categories to choose from. Popular downloads include fighting games (like Tekken and Mortal Kombat) first person shooter (Counterstrike), Strategy (Command and Conquer), role-playing games or RPG (Diablo), even classic arcade games (like Pacman), among other categories. It is also worth noting that some games can be classified in multiple categories so game sorting plays an important factor for any web site that consider itself as the best game download site.

We know for a fact that there are games that can be downloaded for free and there are those that needs payment first before you can download the game. The best game downloads sites will readily indicate whether the game you wanted to download is a freeware or commercially released. Some web sites trick online users into believing that their services are free but as soon as they start downloading a file, the site will ask their credit card details or their PayPal account. Equally important is the indication whether a game is a full version or a demo only. Demo games have proliferated the online scene because developers wanted to test their software prior to their official release. But if you are patient enough, you can find some full version, commercially released games that are tweaked and hacked so that you can start downloading and playing them without spending a dollar.

There are no sets of rule that gaming sites have to abide by so choosing the best game download site is a matter of discretion on the part of the gamers. As long as a site provides convenience for their online users and it has a wide selection of games from different genres, then it’s definitely worth looking at.
